Mom bought a Gentle Leader because she couldn't control me with a regular collar and leash. Here, I can be seen "gentling leading" her around the corner to the Parkway. And, we're off - I can definitely buy into the "leader" aspect but "gentle" - yeah, good luck with that one Mom! :)
