Today, Mom tried the Chase method on me at dock jumping. This method has the dog, that's me, sitting and staying at the back of the dock while the Handler, Mom, walks backward giving me the hand. When the hand goes down, she turns around, and I CHASE. It gives me more pop off the dock and I am closer to the toy when I land. We are going to try the Chase method at competition next Saturday.
If if doesn't work next week, blame her, not me. She keeps changing the commands every time we compete. She doesn't seem to understand, I ain't never gonna jump 26 feet! Oh well, she'll learn and as long as I go out and get my water and bumper toy, I'm a happy dog.
